Today’s post is for the brides who are on a budget! Calligraphy pieces can be a beautiful addition to your wedding day, but I know that you might not be able to fit everything you want into your budget. In that case, I suggest a calligraphy piece that can be used and styled in your photos in many different ways! One way you can do that is with a beautiful calligraphy envelope (see that post here), but here's another opportunity to easily incorporate calligraphy in another simple way! The photos I’m about to show you all showcase the same simple calligraphy sign, but it is styled in so many beautiful (and different!) ways! So brides, if you have a favorite quote or verse, it could be done in calligraphy and styled in different ways for your wedding photos. A calligraphy piece like this would also be versatile enough to be featured at your bridal shower, wedding, and then as a keepsake for your home! These photos were all taken and styled by the very talented Snowdrop Photography, located in the DC area! And how could I not include that sweet pup?!
I would love to chat with you about your own idea for a custom calligraphy sign, so feel free to reach out to me with your thoughts for your big day! And if you are a bride on a budget, check out this feature on Confetti Daydreams where you'll find some other ideas for incorporating beautiful details on your big day without breaking your budget! It features one of my all time favorite calligraphy projects - a fabric banner, which is another super versatile calligraphy piece that can be used on your wedding day!
Any other Joanna Gaines fans out there? I love Chip and Jo! And this outdoor wedding inspiration is full of everyone’s favorite rustic farmhouse touches. You’ll see gorgeous neutrals paired with fluffy blooms and greenery, lots of natural, rustic textures, and some beautiful calligraphy pieces. In fact, the calligraphy window from these photos now hangs in our home! I love custom calligraphy pieces that can be used after the wedding day! Virginia and DC brides, if you're looking for an outdoor wedding venue, look no further, because Rust Manor House is stunning! Scroll through to see all of the beautiful outdoor wedding inspiration photographed by the amazing Michelle Whitley! I'm excited to share that this photo shoot was also featured on Virginia Bride!
Today’s fall wedding might be one of my all time favorites. I debated whether to share this now or later this fall, but I wanted to share it now so that autumn brides can find some inspiration as you are planning your fall wedding day! You know when a wedding photographer gets married, there will be tons of gorgeous details and this wedding will not disappoint!
Well beach season is officially upon us, so I’m throwing it back to my very first styled shoot for Allison Dee Calligraphy, but still one of my favorites! Featured on Burnett’s Boards, this wedding inspiration is simple and rustic, but has the most unique color palette that comes out in the gorgeous flowers! I love the custom calligraphy pieces that Alyssa from Ginger & Blooms dreamed up for me to create, including the stone place cards in the tablescape, the fabric banner for the couple’s photos, and the watercolor touches on the invitation suite with a nod to the nautical venue! And if nautical wedding venues make your heart sing, be sure to check out this yacht club wedding! All the magical photos here are by the incredible Lauren Werkheiser Photography.
