I was so excited to teach my second beginner’s calligraphy workshop last month! It is such a blast getting to share my love of calligraphy with others in beautiful old town Alexandria, Virginia. Guests spent the afternoon practicing calligraphy letterforms as well as learning how to create wooden signs. I love that attendees get to take home a finished product from my workshop, along with tools to keep practicing!
I was so lucky to have Alyssa of Ginger & Blooms plan my calligraphy workshop again this year. Alyssa brings such a beautiful vision for her events and she outdid herself this time! We found a gem of a venue for the workshop - Studio Milk, right in the heart of Old Town Alexandria. Our color inspiration came from beautiful pink and orange fall blooms. Alyssa put together all the gorgeous details (including a gourmet popcorn bar!) and Mikaela Marie Photography captured all of the fun and the beautiful space.
Special thanks to Alyssa and Mikaela, as well as the other amazing vendors who contributed – bags from Hope Tees, pencils from Roost Paperie, pumpkin macarons and cupcakes from Sweets by E, and the sweetest gift box curated just for my workshop by J. Isabel Designs. I absolutely love getting to know sweet small business owners with so much talent! Check out my other blog posts to see my favorite collaborations with these sweet ladies!
